Empire Core Missile units and Knights

The strength of the Empire army is its variety of troops. Handgunners and Crossbowmen can rain deadly fire at the enemy while the Knights add much needed armour and speed to the army.

Handgunners

The Warhammer 6th edition rules make them a lot more useable than before. Added to that is the option to field a Marksman with a Hochland Long Rifle.

Crossbowmen

I sold a bunch of Crossbowmen made from the 5th edition Crossbowmen box, and replaced them with these guys made from the Mordheim mercenary box. The crossbows are much better looking.

Archers

These skirmishers are useful to help plug holes in the Empire line and to protect the Artillery crew and Wizards from unwelcomed attention. They can be upgraded to be Huntsmen with Longbows.

I made these guys by simply doing head-swaps on the 5th edition single-pose Bretonnian bowmen.

Knights of the Blazing Sun

I love the plastic Empire Knights box. The figures look lovely.

Knights of the Blazing Sun are recruited predominantly from Averland and mine are led into battle by their Grandmaster.

Knights of the White Wolf

These Knights from Middenheim are far from home. But I wanted to make a unit with the lovely wolf pelts and the Mordheim hairy head sprue. They too are led by their Grandmaster.
