Dark Elf Core Units
In an army full of elite troops, it is easy to overlook the Core units. While they seldom win games, they certainly can tip the balance for the Dark Elves. They are after all, superior to most Core units in other armies.
Warriors with Repeating Crossbows
The guys can keep a constant rain of crossbow bolts on the enemy. While many will shrug off the weak bolts, the overwelming volleys will take a toll and stop weak units.
If forced into a fight, they can reform into a block and fight decently if armed with shields.
Black Ark Corsairs
I have got several units of Corsairs, they form the bulk of my Core units. Their sea dragon cloaks allow them to close with enemy shooters, and their two hand weapons narrows the gap between them and enemy elite infantry. They will tear through weak infantry with little armour.
Dark Riders
Expensive light cavalry, even more so if you intend to arm them with Repeating Crossbows. They pay for themselves when they run down fleeing enemies or catch careless enemy spellcasters.
Drive them deep behind the enemy line to wreck havoc.
